Marie Elana Stewart, FNP-BC
Elana is a native of Alabama and received her first bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). She was a physical education and health teacher in Sumner county before switching careers and returning to MTSU to complete her bachelor of science in nursing. She spent ten years as an Emergency registered nurse at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital before returning to MTSU to complete her master of nursing degree specializing as a family nurse practitioner. During her time at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, Elana was in charge of many clinical areas, including a nurse in the emergency department, house supervisor, and nurse practitioner. Elana joined Be Well + Flourish when the practice opened, and under the direction of Dr. Leah Cordovez, she leads the traditional primary care side of the practice. Her experience and expertise in caring for all different types of patients and illnesses bring tremendous value to each patient she serves.
